Candidates

Kevin Berry

Irrigator, cropping and mixed farming

I wish to have some say in how the irrigation system is run.

I am currently running a farm, and have previously owned a caravan park and a refrigeration and pump business.

Dianne Bowles

Irrigator, dairy farming

As an irrigator of 18 years I welcome the opportunity to express my opinions and provide value to conversations with GMW, based on my knowledge and experience.

With many years of board and committee experience, I have a large face-to-face and online network, both locally and nationally.

I am experienced in both irrigation for agriculture as well as environmental watering and understand the benefits of both.

Andrew Leahy

Irrigator, dairy farming

As the former Chair of the previous Torrumbarry Water Services Committee, I believe I could continue to add value and represent the views of Western GMID irrigators. I have long history lobbying on water issues and am the current Chair of the Victorian Farmers Federation Water Council. I have also represented irrigators on other water committees including the recent constraint relaxation review and the Irrigators Share Review Committee. I represent the Victorian irrigators nationally on the NFF Water Taskforce.

We have a Commonwealth Government targeting Zone 7 water for water buybacks under the Basin Plan and threatening our viability as a region. We require strong leadership to fight on the issues impacting the West. I ask for your vote.

Calum Peace

Irrigator, cropping

I want to have input into what I regard as a critical service to my business and the greater community.

I have great experience in designing, developing and commissioning large irrigator projects, as well as irrigating a broad range of seasonal and permanent crops.

Gregory Quinn

Irrigator, dairy farming and cropping

I wish to represent fellow irrigators to make sure we maintain fair and reliable irrigation systems.

I am a large irrigator, with 2000 ML of water shares and 4000 acres of mixed irrigated crops such as cereals, legumes, corn and lucerne.

I am also a member of the Irrigation Farmers Network.

Hamish Toll

Irrigator, mixed farming

I can bring my knowledge to the table and represent my community by being involved in open discussion and making a difference.

I have been part of an irrigation farming family in Gunbower for multiple generations. I have been involved in a number of committees and have deep technical capability, analytical, process and people skills, and farming knowledge.
