As part of our Pricing Submission 2024-28, Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) will engage with diversions customers on the proposed fees and charges for the four year regulatory period.

Changes to pricing

Small diversions customers can expect a decrease in their average bill up to 5% due to a reduction in the unmetered Service Point Fee and Access Fee over the 2024-28 regulatory period. This will be partially offset by an increase to the customer fee but still result in an overall reduction in their bill.

Customers with medium to extra large bills will see an initial drop in their average bill between 7-15% at the start of the 2024-28 regulatory period as GMW moves the Entitlement Storage Fee to system pricing.

The metered Service Point Fee will increase over the regulatory period, which will result in small increases to overall bills towards the end of the regulatory period, after the initial drop in the Entitlement Storage Fee but will still remain below average bill set at the start of the regulatory period.

Customers with medium to extra large bills will see a small increase of one to 3% each year over the regulatory period due to the metered Service Point Fee and Customer Fee increasing over that time.

Customers with medium to extra large bills will see a decrease on their average annual bill of 1-2% over the regulatory period due to reductions in the Access Fee and Resource Management Fee. This will be partially offset by increases to the Customer Fee.

Customers with medium to extra large bills will remain relatively price stable over the regulatory period. There will be some increases to the metered Service Point Fee and Customer Fee however these will be offset by decreases in the Access Fee.
